Tapestry has signature in lower right in the weave and 1/15 on left corner bottom on tapestry. Also noted on back which is shown in pic that "This tapestry has been approved" by Norval Morrisseau and signed by him. Also edition size is 15 and this is number 1.
Tapestry is composed of all wool yarn.
Morrisseau is an Indigenous Canadian artist, also known as the Picasso of the North. While hi interpretation is modern, the art depicts the cultural and political tensions between native and governmental traditions.
Tapestry measures 90" tall and 56" wide and .5" thick.
