Swedish Flat Woven Rug by Ingegerd Silow

$ 7,000
  • Description
    Every rug aficionado has heard of Ingegerd Silow, this internationally known master weaver and designer was involved in the development and popularization of Swedish weaving, a craft that is an important part of local culture. Silow passed away in 2005, leaving a legacy of stunning Swedish rugs, a legacy that this rug is a proud part of. Handmade and signed by Ingegerd Silow herself, this vintage carpet woven in 1950s sports a contrasting color palette, composed of beige, brown, gray and pink which complement each other perfectly. The pattern designed by Silow is deceptively simple, but a closer look reveals the weaver's genius - geometrical elements of the design are constructed like puzzles, creating a harmonious and minimalistic whole which is bound to look amazing in any type of accommodation.
