Three Framed Textile Fragments Continental Europe

$ 1,200
  • Description
    A collection of three antique textile fragments displayed in various frames. It consists of a blue on white woven panel presented in a metal frame. The panel depicts dancing human figures and lions in repeating pattern and bordered by scrolling lines on both sides. There are some embroidery switches to accentuate the design. The second piece is a small, embroidered panel presented in an old carved gilt wood frame. It shows a human figure holding a stick. Both these textiles might be of either Greece or adjacent areas in origin. The last piece is a woven mandala piece in a thin gilt wood frame. It depicts a group of figures surrounded by a foliaged border. It appears to be either Byzantine or Coptic in nature. The respective size is 12" x 11" x 1"; 5" x 9" x 1 and 7.5" x 9.5" x 0.8". The size listed are for packaging purpose only.
    These are estate finds and we can't be certain of their exact origin or age, but we think they are continental Europe circa 18-19th century.
