Description
Although presently made, this new rug richly draws from traditional oriental craft. It was carefully hand-knotted of top-notch wool and silk by a skilled artisan. Thanks to such thorough execution, its structure is resilient and durable while its pile is soft and luminous. Its design was inspired by Persian aesthetics – the main field carries an allover dense botanical pattern of meandering stylized leaves and florals which oozes elegance and dignity. The timeless and utterly chic color palette of silver gray and beige, ready to embellish a wide variety of interior arrangements, from classic to state-of-the-art. Doris Leslie Blau carries an exceptional collection of original modern rugs in many styles and materials. Contemporary hand-made rugs are a bridge throughout history, they are the fruit of the constant evolution of the weaving craft that has accompanied men since the dawn of civilization.

Message from Seller:
Founded in 1965, Doris Leslie Blau’s rug emporium is the stuff of design legends. For decades it was known as the go-to source for those seeking the best in the unusual antique and avant-garde. Now owned by Nader Bolour, to whom Doris turned over the business, the gallery has not only continued the tradition of carrying the best of antique and vintage pieces, but has also forged ahead to create unique and innovative contemporary and custom rugs as well.
