Vintage Rag Rug Runner 2

$ 725
  • Description
    - Shown folded.

    - An art form derived from necessity, rag rugs were traditionally made from discarded clothing. Through braiding and stitching, these cast-off pieces were given a second life and transformed into usable art by domestic makers.

    - This runner was made by hand in Europe and features the most beautiful collection of hues: pinks, browns, blues, soft yellows, reds, ivory, and black. Each hue is offset by a clean white striped border.

    - This rug is exceptionally long, a rare find. It would make a fantastic stair runner or could be cut into multiple hall runners.

    - This one-of-a-kind rug is in good antique condition, with wear consistent with age and use. Please see our detailed photos.
