Description
Because of the size and rarity, pairs of fruit coolers are extremely rare. Ice was placed in the rim and base. The fruit rested in a bowl suspended in the middle. These are decorated in gilding with sprays of flowers. Probably continental and made about 200 years ago. Generally the tops and liners are missing and these pieces are sold as cache pots.
