Description
Chamotte pitcher, beautifully glazed in green, white and black, with lots of texture to both the clay and glaze. A beautiful example of southern French pottery.
Albert Thiry lived and worked in the celebrated mid-century crafts community of Vallauris, alongside his wife and collaborator, Pyrot. His work is characterized by subtle-earthy colors, textured clay typical of the region, and hand carved intaglio detailing. -
