Midcentury Modern sterling silver and red glass figural oil and vinegar salad dressing pair. Each: Funny, flamboyant cockatoo. Ovoid glass body with wings represented by cut curved flutes; tapering tail and loop handle. Short neck in sterling silver collar. Parcel gilt head cover with scaly imbricated feathers. The rooster has spiky “electrified” crown and the hen has upturned swooping crown. Cast legs in stiffened “resistance” pose with splayed and clawed talons.
