Glazed black sandstone bowl by Catherine Bonte Navarrot. Signed below.
This series refers to the molten material that transforms the Earth’s surface over time. It reminds us that rocks and minerals are not always inert.
The black stoneware pieces consist of a sculpted base and a wheelthrown part, assembled before the first firing. The piece is glazed and fired in an oxidizing kiln at 1250oC. -
