George III sterling silver stirrup cup. Made by Charles Aldridge & Henry Green in London in 1782. A fox head with pointed snout and erect folded ears; intense eyes and closed mouth. The expression suggestive of silent loping through the forest. Engraved armorial. Gilt interior. Fully marked. Very good condition.
