Description
Old Sheffield Epergne, English C.1820.The circular base stand on 4 foliage knuckle foliage supports, rosette foliate rim, base and central section of acanthus foliage design, fern like arm supports, supporting a large anglo irish cut glass bowl, the arms supporting 4 smaller matching bowls. All arms numbered and corresponding numbered slots. Overall superlative condition. No plating loss and no chips to bowls. Height: 14 inches, width 24.5 inches with bowls. Last image shows `fold over’ silver process used for Old Sheffield Plate
