Description
The container that houses this extraordinary set of stainless steel cutlery, designed by Gio Ponti, is a true masterpiece of functional design. Crafted with a two-tier structure, this box not only preserves the integrity of the cutlery but also enhances its elegance and practicality. The exterior, in a deep red color with a velvety texture, immediately conveys a sense of luxury and attention to detail.
Upon opening the top of the box, the first tier is revealed, where the smaller pieces, such as teaspoons and dessert forks, are neatly arranged in soft, gold-velvet-lined compartments. These velvet supports offer optimal protection against scratches and wear. The warm tones of the velvet create a sophisticated contrast with the shiny stainless steel, accentuating the beauty of the cutlery.
By lifting the first tier using a convenient fabric strap, you access the second level, where the larger pieces—such as knives, forks, and serving spoons—are stored. On this tier as well, each piece is securely housed in its own velvet compartment, keeping the cutlery perfectly organized and in place. The two-tier design not only maximizes space but also creates a delightful sense of discovery every time the set is used, making each occasion feel refined and special.
This meticulously crafted container reflects the innovative spirit of Gio Ponti and the high-quality standards that have always defined Krupp’s production. More than just a box, it is an integral part of the set, transforming every meal into a special event while providing lasting protection for these exquisite vintage cutlery pieces. -
