  • Description
Colorful, geometric and clear shapes, framed by black lines, dominate the naive-looking representation of the cat, a recurring theme in Tramonti’s art until the 1970s. As in the works of Fernand Léger, the body of the stylized cat is inexpressive and, although two-dimensional, of plastic value. The grainy effect of the double-glazed polychrome vitrified glaze enlivens and completes the layered effect of flat areas of color that seem to protrude or recede enhancing the unnatural iconic representation.
