Made by Hugh Wishart (1784-1816)
Engraved on the bottom of both “S. Richard Fecit”
Reference: For a discussion of Stephen Richard, please see Ian M. G. Quimby American Silver at Winterthur, page 277. There are few known pieces having the Wishart stamp and the signature of S. Richard. He was either an apprentice of Wishart’s, or Wishart may have commissioned works by Richard. -
