Description
Fine large Georgian sterling silver salver, on four pierced festoon supports; cast hand pierced silver border decorated with medallions and festoon surround, John Carter, London 1774. Diameter: 17 inches. Weight: 73 oz (2270 grams). Engraved with Lumsdean / Lumsden/ Lumsdaine family crest coat of arms, an eagle preying on a salmon (Ref: Fairbairns Plate 265:4).
