Description
A large repoussé brass charger featuring an embossed coat of arms and two animate, fierce lions poised on hind legs, flanking a knight’s helmet over a shield; the rim bordered with a patterned field and scrollwork. English, circa 1880.

Analysis of Heraldic Elements
Supporters: Two lions, which are often used in heraldry, to represent bravery, strength, and valor, as well as courage, nobility, and strength.
Knight’s Helmet: Symbolizes chivalry, the knightly virtues of honor and bravery, nobility, and military service.
Shield: Central element of the coat of arms, often containing symbols representing the family or individual. The shield appears to have some diagonal lines and small circles, though the exact blazon (description) isn’t clear. -
