Condition: Very good vintage condition.
Marcello Fantoni (1915 - 2011) large ceramic centerpiece bowl, circa 1950s. A rare and uncommon design. This work draws direct inspiration from ancient Etruscan pottery which Fantoni's pieces were often influenced by. The bowl is an irregular rounded shape with three protruding loop accents. The ceramic is glazed in green and browns tones creating a bronze-like effect. Highly textured dripping lava glaze. Signed "Fantoni Italy" to the bottom. Measures 6" H x 14" W x 13" D / bowl is 13" in diameter. -
