Large English silver and crystal caviar dish by Martin, Hall & Co

Crafted by Martin, Hall & Co - the renowned Sheffield based firm of silversmiths, electroplated manufacturers, as well as silver, plated and steel cutlers – the caviar dish is of an impressive size and design.
The silver inset features a central bowl from which one can serve caviar. Around it is a further, narrower space in which to place ice cubes to keep the caviar cool. A crystal glass bowl is adorned with a selection of cut geometric patterns. The base of the bowl, part often unseen by the user is also decorated with a large cut floral motif, further highlighting the high quality of the antique.
The silver insert features a maker’s mark alongside other silver hallmarks. It superbly fits into the cut crystal bowl creating a refined addition to one’s dining table.
