Rare Large Size Turned Burlwood Bowl
American, northeastern, late 18th. c.
Burl Ash.
Fine condition, old shrinkage crack on rim, some scattered putty patches on bottom from use.
Provenance: Collection of William K. du Pont.
This imposing size turned burl bowl with a pronounced collar and nicely shaped sloping sides exhibits great form and retains a wonderful natural patina.
