1980 Romano Donà Italian Modern Cobalt Blue Murano Art Glass Spire Shell Bowl
-
Description
Bring the ocean indoors! This spire coiled shell in a transparent Art Murano Glass with an amazing cyan marine blue tint has been freely blown and hand crafted, with extraordinary skill, by Romano Donà on the Murano Island in the Bisazza furnace, in an extraordinary life-like organic shape. And who knows? You might hear the sound of waves if you listen carefully :)
It can be accompanied by other 2 shell bowls, one in aqua turquoise (LU911229062402) and one in fuchsia coral color (LU911229062322).
Romano Donà (born in Murano in 1956) began to blow glass at an early age, as usual for many coming from a family with centuries of experience in glassmaking. In 1975 he began working with Maestro Livio Seguso, a successful collaboration that lasted for more than 2 decades. He specialized in glass sculpture with recognized talent and indeed, in 1987 he won the Premio Murano award for glass masters. -
