Japanese was patented in 1871, when Tiffany was a creative powerhouse that capitalized on the fashion for all things Asian. The designer was Edward C. Moore, who was a connoisseur and scholar of Japanese art. Production of this pattern ceased before 1904. It was revived after World War II under the new less provocative name Audubon.
All pieces in Japanese pattern except dinner knives which are in Audubon. Dinner knives have stainless steel blades.
Total weight: 88 troy ounces + 8 knives. #CB016 -
