Pair of Victorian sterling silver figural owl salt and pepper shakers. Each: Erect with tucked-down wings, dense imbricated feathers, and outsized talons; bead eyes and hooked beak. Head detachable and pierced. Fully marked including maker’s stamp, pattern no. 4397 (first produced in 1875), order no. 9543, and director’s letter M (1873-91). Very good condition.
