Victorian Classical sterling silver water pitcher. Made by Tiffany & Co. in New York, ca 1885. Globular bowl with drum-form neck, loop handle with dense low-relief flowers and scalloped rims, small lip spout, and short and straight foot ring. Embossed and chased leaf-and-dart band on bowl and twisted and leafing gadrooning on neck; repousse ferns and flowers on shoulder. Fully marked including maker’s stamp, pattern no. 4706, and director’s letter M (1873-91). Very good condition.
