Description
A unique Swedish mid-century ceramic hand decorated bowl by Danish artist Vilhelm Bjerke Petersen. The bowl features surrealist imagery painted by Petersen on footed form. Signed and dated "52" and the Rorstrand mark on bottom.

Petersen studied under artists Paul Klee and Wassily Kandinsky at Bauhaus Dessau from 1930 to 1931.
