English Neoclassical jasperware and sterling silver sugar caster, 1922. Jasperware baluster body with white low-relief frieze on blue ground: A bow-bearing Artemis greets Aphrodite who holds a perched dove. A goddess confab set among trees and flowers. Domed and pierced sterling silver cover with ball finial. Body marked “Wedgwood” and “Made in England”. Cover fully marked including Birmingham assay stamp and Levi & Salamon maker’s stamp. Very good condition.
