Description
Large Classical coin silver teapot. Made by William Thomson in New York in 1833. Bellied bowl on stepped and raised foot; cover hinged and domed with flower-basket finial. Leaf-capped high-looping s-scroll handle; spout same and flower-wrapped. Cast leaf and flower rims. Engraved interlaced script monogram. Capacious with visible handwork on interior. Marks include maker’s stamp, year, and phrase “Old Silver”. Very good condition.
