Description
This is a rarel orginal Spratling sterling silver bowl. It has a pre-Columbian design on the border with 6 amethysts set into the design. It is in great condition. William Spratling’s unique blending of traditional Mexican Colonial and Pre-Columbian designs with modern forms have created a place for him amongst the Masters of 20th Century Modern Silver world wide. Numerous books have been written either by or about him and he was the subject of the film, “The Man From New Orleans”, in 1948.
