Description
These William Spratling salad servers are in excellent condition. The design shows his Ranchero influence. Each one has the Spratling cartouche inlaid in the upper section of the handle. William Spratling’s unique blending of traditional Mexican Colonial, Ranchero and Pre-Columbian designs with modern forms have created a place for him amongst the Masters of 20th Century Modern Silver world wide. Numerous books have been written either by or about him and he was the subject of the film, “The Man From New Orleans”, in 1948.
