A stunning and exceptionally large German Jugendstil Art Nouveau pewter serving tray.
This unusual piece was made in Germany by WMF or Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik (cr1903).
There four water nymphs, two of which are in high relief swimming picking flowers with cattails in the background.
This piece is by far one of the most beautiful Art Nouveau pewter pieces they ever made, the quality of modeling and faces is fantastic.
On the back is the original clip for hanging, this tray has a small French import mark "Cie". -
