Antique Sailor's Woolwork Embroidery Picture of two sailing ships and sailors in rowing boats. One of the ships is steam powered, with smoke coming out of the chimney/smokestack. Drapes to the top and sides of the piece. The embroidery is worked in wool on canvas ground, in a variety of stitches and thread rigging. Colours white, cream, blues, green, black, grey, pink and red. Framed in an old oak frame with glass, and white card slipr. Mounting: The embroidery is fixed to a wood panel. Frame backed with card, sealed with tape.. Dimensions exclude the frame and slip.
