Description
Adam Martinez was the eldest son of Marie and Julian Martinez. His wife was Santana Adam. Both of them worked directly with Maria in making her pottery and they are also renowned in their own right as outstanding artists from San Ildefonso Pueblo. After his father Julian died, Adam helped dig and prepare the clay while Santana worked alongside Marie in forming and polishing the pottery. They continued working together in making pottery in the traditional way after Maria's death. Each died in the very early years of the 21st century.
