Description
Antique Dutch painting from the late 18th, early 19th century. Oil on oak panel painting depicting Saint Paul imprisoned in Philippi, good pictorial quality. Painting inspired by the famous work by Leonard Bramer (1596-1674). Non-contemporary 19th century wood and plaster frame, carved and gilded. Small-sized painting, for antique dealers and collectors, in beautiful patina. Panel of good brightness, pleasant details inserted by the painter (see photo). In the frame, as a support element for the panel, there is a card with the word Dietrich, under study, lacking additional documentation. Painting that has some small color drops, in beautiful patina and structurally sound, overall in fair condition. Interior size H 33 x W 31 cm.
