A wonderful antique Spanish colonial painting on wood from Peru, Cuzco School, circa early 19th century. It depicts a Spanish conquistador in his full regalia holding a staff and a bundle of barley like grass. The style of the laces and the use of local flora as ornament indicates that the painting belongs to the Cuzco School. All original.
