David Messer 1912 -1998 Oil on Canvas Two Women Signed upper right Image size: 13 x 9 inches Frame: 21 x 18 inches. Born in Poland 1912, at the age of 12 left home and immigrated to Palestine in 1929. He moved to Paris in 1955 after all his family were murdered in the Holocaust. Highly acclaimed Expressionist Surrealism painter, known for thick impasto style. Provenance: Theo Waddington Gallery Montreal.
