Hand carved from a solid square of mahogany by artist and furniture designer/maker Eben Blaney. The piece was then ebonized with a dye before being burnished and then finished with an oil/wax finish.

Eben Blaney designs and builds handmade contemporary furniture. His pieces tend toward the spare, combining bold, elegant forms with finely joined, dynamic and angular structures. He uses color and a wide variety of finishes selectively, to both set off and complement the beautiful natural hardwoods and create distinctive compositions. Custom commissions are welcome.
