A fine lithograph plate with magnificent hand-colouring of a Japanese Herbaceous Peony - Fizi - on Japanese tissue paper with printed number and title.
Paper size: 11 by 15 3/4 inches and presented in an off white mount with an overall size: 16 by 19 3/4 inches.
The plate is from a seed/sample catalogue of Rare Hardy Japanese Peonies, Iris, Maples, Magnolias &c [Yokohama Nursery Co Ltd]. The Yokohama Nursery Company was founded in 1890. -
