Gaetano Pesce's works are generally eccentric, modern and carry a concept of "happening", which is the transformation of the object.
Experimenter of different forms and materials, his ideas seem to carry with them the concept of error, of defect, this comes from Pesce's poetics: we are all full of defects, which we should enhance in order to become original.
In 1973, for Expansion (a textile factory based in Bologna), Gaetano Pesce designed this fabric, velvet in particular, with a black optical motif on a white background, model "Arcadia".
This piece of fabric was then used as surface for this square decorative panel that could be hung on the wall of a dining room, office or bedroom as preferred.
Good condition, fully original.
