A wonderfully naive circa 1775 Italian reverse glass polychrome portrait painting of Roman manufacture depicting a noble or fashionable lady in lavish attire housed in original molded giltwood frame. Glass plate measures 9" x 12".
Note: Beautiful blown glass plate with without chips or cracks. Minor flaking and abrasion to paint as shown, however photographs enhance this and is not as noticeable or prominent in person. Original frame with age-related wear; presents beautifully. -
