Condition: Very good.
Cast aluminum abstract wall sculpture by renowned Pittsburgh artist James C. Myford (1940-2014), circa 1975. The 11.75" diameter by 1.25" thick solid aluminum sculpture is mounted on a 16" diameter black painted aluminum disc. Abstract in form and Brutalist in style with a highly textured effect. Signed by the artist along the left face of the artwork. Wire located on back to hang. Consider removing the aluminum sculpture from the back plate to display on a flat surface such as a coffee table. James C. Myford sculptures are found in corporate, museum, university, public and private collections throughout the United States. His work is also in collections in Japan, Sweden, Venezuela, Australia and Brazil. Very good condition. The aluminum sculpture is in excellent condition. Minor wear and a small ding along the bottom edge of the black painted backing. -
