Offered for sale is an impeccably executed Mid-century abstract oil painting on canvas by the listed artist John Cuthbert Hare (1908-1978). Hare was best known for his watercolors of the New England waterways with docks and boats. This original oil painting is unusual for the artist both in the process and the subject matter. The work is signed John Hare in the lower right corner. The painting is displayed in the original vintage frame.
