Landscape with Sunset
Signed on stretcher, J.J. Enneking
Oil on canvas, in a period mahogany veneered frame
Measurements: 10” x 14”, 13 ¾” x 17 ¾” with frame
Enneking had a strong love for nature and is best known for his Tonalist and Impressionistic landscape paintings. This example of a sunset captures the subdued palette typically found in Barbizon school painters. -
