Description
This original etching was executed by the master printmaker Paul Jouve in France, circa 1930. Entitled Tigers au repose"(Tigers resting), it depicts two tigers on a striated mound with their heads touching in an affectionate display. One of the tigers offers a paw playfully outstretched. With its beautiful detailing and iconically Art Deco sensibility, this piece is sure to delight discerning collectors of first-rate art work from the period, as well as those with a penchant for exquisite objects. The piece is numbered "43/100" left bottom corner, titled in the center, and is hand signed in pencil "Paul Jouve" in the lower right. It comes presented in a custom gilded gallery frame and is in excellent vintage condition.
