Philippe Claisse abstract steel wall sculpture "Milles Pattes", France

Offered for sale is an original sculpture by artist Philippe Claisse (French, b. 1950) titled "Mille-Pattes". The title translated into English means 1000 feet which is the French name for a centipede. The sculpture was created in 1998 with painted steel and is unsigned. This piece has a wonderful provenance and was the property of the Mobile Museum of Art in Mobile, AL. It was sold to benefit their collections Care and Acquisitions Fund.

The legs are 12.75 wide from one side to the other.
