Religious painting from the 18th century, Moses saved from the waters

Description
Antique Italian painting from the second half of the 18th century. Oil artwork on canvas depicting a biblical subject, Moses saved from the waters. The book of Exodus tells that Moses' mother abandoned him in a basket on the Nile to save him from Pharaoh's persecution. He was then found and adopted by the daughter of the Pharaoh himself who went to the river to cool off together with her handmaids. Painting that develops horizontally adorned with a spectacular modern, sculpted and gilded frame. Large artwork with bright colours, ideal for placing in an important living room or study. Painting of excellent pictorial quality, note the quality in the creation of the drapery and naturalistic elements. The characters are immersed in a splendid ideal landscape full of details and thanks to the aerial perspective our gaze is guided towards the mountains in the background. The illusory depth of field is in fact determined by the increasingly less clear gradations of colors tending towards blue. Painting that has undergone conservative restoration with relining, replacement of the frame and restoration of color in some places. Overall in good condition. Sight size H 119.5 x W 175.5 cm.
