Description
This great oil on canvas by was painted by noted California artist Ross Shattuck in 1950. This figural surreal oil painting retains it’s original frame. Ross Shattuck arrived in Laguna Beach, CA from Chicago in 1929. During the 1930s he worked as an art director for Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer and as an instructor at the Chouinard Art Institute in Los Angeles. In the 1940’s Ross Shattuck exhibited in San Francisco at Gumps and The California Palace of the Legion of Arts.
