Description
Fishing Lines inspires a summer day; the staccato blue, green and purple brush strokes are muddled together like a rippling pond surface. The neon orange lines break the movement of the aquatic background creating a juxtaposition between the activeness of the water with stillness and rigidness of the fishing lines. As with all of Andrea’s textural encaustic works, the torching and layering of molten wax with oil are reflective of nature’s elements taking form.
