Description
Acrylic, Texture, Rust, Oxidized Copper, Gold Leaf, Bitumen
Climate Collapse has been happening for years but now as countries are literally on fire around us, is it too late for people to start listening to the pleas’ of the scientists and environmentalists?
Jim Morrison sang about it back in the 60’s, what have ‘they’ done to the Earth?
This piece is a juxtaposition of beauty and decay. Layers of copper and rust, gold leaf and bitumen, making this artistic landscape pleasing to the eye yet slowly changing like some dark alchemy.
Mining for precious metals and gemstones is one of the most destructive industries in the world, destroying environments, displacing communities, polluting water and land.
Whatever will be left is going to burn anyway.
