Two of a series of ten art deco tiles designed by the avant-garde Mexican artist Agustín Lazo for Carlos Chávez’ Aztec Ballet, El fuego nuevo, in 1927. These tiles were also exhibited in 1928 in the traveling ceramic exhibition organized by the American Federation of Arts, beginning at the Metropolitan Museum of Art . -
