Description
Original oil painting on wooden panel of a bustling Venice square by the American artist, Albert Munghard. Signed by the artist lower right. Circa 1975. Condition is excellent. The painting is housed in a contemporary custom gold leaf gallery frame. Overall framed measurements are 20 by 24 inches. Provenance: A Long Island, New York collector.
Albert Munghard was born in 1919 and he was known for his charming intimate figurative scenes portraying life in Paris and Europe, and he was profoundly active, picking up subjects from the cities, parks, restaurants, cities, and much more. Under acknowledged as one of French-America's most active Plein air artists, Albert Munghard achieved excellence in his career, producing 100's of breathtaking works, now in many private collections and museums around the world.
