Broken Home, Demit Omphroy

  • Description
“Broken Home” is the first painting of a two part series: “Broken Home”, “Broken Heart”

Broken Home represents a separated family and the aftermath of a divorce. It is a painful reality of what happens when love fades and the logistical facets of a marriage divides a family.

    Backstory:
This is about my life, back in 7th grade. My parents were getting divorced and it didn't seem real. When they split, I was forced to choose who to live with. I chose to live with my Mom, represented in "Broken Heart", and the family in "Broken Home" represents my father, brother and sister. Moving out was really difficult, it felt like I had to choose between my siblings vs choosing between parents.
